Default How much compression do I need???

Will OS CTR pistons give me enough compression to run this top end I am putting together? Also, if they won't is there not things I can do to up the compression like a thinner head gasket, flat faced valves (although I'd rather stick with oem), or milling the head (which I don't really want to do)

B18C5 Head
-Skunk2 Stg.3 cams
-Skunk2 springs
-Skunk2 retainers
-Skunk2 Pro Series Cam Gears
-AEBS manifold
-BBK 70mm TB

B18C5 bottom end has stock sleeves and will consist of Eagle Rods and whatever pistons I need to get. Also will be tuned with Hondata S200.

Depends on what you are using for fuel.

I'll probably use 91 octane. I want to stay pump gas as it is my DD

He's using a combination of Nitromethane,Propylene Oxide,Cobalt Manganese,Toluene and A touch of Methanol Alcohol.

Lots of compression for that mix 16-1. 11.5 for 91 octane

If 11.5 is all I'll need to run the setup I have will CTR pistons give me that? If not will a thinner head gasket be all I need?

Too much compression? I was thinking I'd need a thinner head gasket to up the compression. What compression are they in an ITR motor?

How about some p30 pistons? Won't CTR pistons in a c5 block have CR of somewhere around 12.5-1? I thought it was definitely >12.0.

Do some searches on dynamic compression

Guessing aproximate numbers, or basing it off what fuel you will run is not going to net you the most power.

You need to find out how much the valve is open after bottom dead center with those cams, find out the dynamic compression and compare it to how much compression you had stock.

If you increase dynamic compression too much you can slow down the piston as it reaches TDC on the compression stroke which robs high end power.
