A buddy of mine said he had side molding on his 95 integra that wasnt just painted white but bought it in white plastic...that way if you ding it, it wont chip the paint but will still be white. Has anyone heard of this or know where to get it?

the color moldings that come from the dealer are painted, but i dont think they chip if u ding them. i priced them for 250 per side at acura a few yrs ago. i just ended up painting my black ones. they came out pretty good and the clear coat keeps them from chipping.

 

Its not like a clear bra but more like there a color coded plastic. Because if you paint the stock black ones and someone rails it, it could take the paint down to the black again. I dont have an acura dealer around and there site was no help so i was curious if anyone was sporting them around and could share some info...
