Default engine running hot

so i raced my car the other weekend and after 2 runs my engine temp was on H. so i guess its time to replace the water pump. should i get a stock replacement for a b16 or is there a better one. i do plan to mod.

Might want to try basic things like thermostat/clogged radiator first. Usually when a pump goes bad you get some good seepage from it. Does it overheat when daily driving?

pumps leak when they go out, they don't stop pumping. Sounds like a blown headgasket but check your coolant level, thermostat, radiator cap (if there is carbon on the rubber seal you have a blown head gasket).
