I HATE MY CRX!!!! GAH!!! Battery = dead. How can I hard wire my lights to be ON?
Ok. I am SO pissed right now.
This morning was kind of a shitty morning, kind of snowing, but bright out. So I turned on my headlights to be safe. Since it was so bright out when I got to work I didn't notice my gauges being lit up at all, and was kind of late, so I quick locked my car and ran inside. LEAVING MY LIGHTS ON.
My question: How can I hard wire my headlights so they turn OFF when the car is off? So I can just leave the headlight **** on all the time so I have daytime running lights, more or less, but when my car shuts off, they turn off?
Or can I get some amazingly obnoxious beeping dealy?
Please post some instructions, or wiring diagrams or something, this is the 3rd time I have done this. My last car had AUTOMATIC head lights, so I never had to remember to turn them off... still kind of stuck in the habit.
THANKS A TON GUYS!!!
Help me make sure this never happens again!

On the ITR, if you turn off the car and open the door without turning off the lights, it makes a warning sound (like a long solid beep) to warn you to turn them off.

there are instructions there to hook up a buzzer to tell you when the lights are on and the door is open.

Actually yeah, you can buy a little buzzer from like Radio Shack. All you have to do is mash it in a pair of light terminals in your fuse box under the steering wheel. Open up the fuse box under the steering wheel and locate fuse #1 and fuse #8. Hook up the buzzer to these two fuses with the positive wire going to fuse #8. The buzzer is small enough to fit inside the fuse box. Try it. Start the car and turn on the headlights, then turn off the car with the head lights still on and the buzzer will sound.
This happened to me once. I just put a sticker on my window saying " Turn off lights you dumb ************" Seems to work good since it never happened again...
I thought our cars had a beep for when the lights are on and the door is open?
I wonder if you can change it from the solid beep to the chimes like on preludes and accords?
I love that little dingdumdingdumdingdum

Spend a couple of bucks. I've killed my battery twice ...... got this, it works fine.
p.s. - I was too lazy to make it myself .....
