2-3rd gear grind
Like the title says My 2-3rd gear is grinding but it only grinds when i let out the clutch in each of the gears. I did som searching and couldnt find anything. Help needed Thanks
possible synchro wear...try changing your fluid to GM Synchromesh FM (Friction Modified) make sure you buy FM you can buy it at any GM dealer like Chevy, Pontiac and Cadillac etc...kind of costly but it solved my problem for a few months now...
by the way you can change your tranny fluid through the speed sensor. Disconnect the speed sensor, remove it, stick a long pipe through the hole, put a funnel at the other end of the hose, pour slowly.

The fluid is usually the key to grinding problems. If that doesn't fix it, then it is time for a transmission rebuild or a swap. Have you also checked the clutch for complete disengagement? (Does it creep in 1st gear on a flat with the clutch depressed.)
THe same thing happened to my tranny. It was all my fault though. I did a full-throttle shift, and missed the gear, then slammed it in...been grinding in higher rpms ever since. I screwed up the synchro, so for me, I need a new tranny.
