Default Leather protection?

I got stuck in the snow for a while today and got the entire interior including my leather seats soaking wet. Is it true that water will ruin the leather or is there anything I can do?

you should dry the seats off the best you can. dont just leave water there. a sparkling cider exploded in the back of my car and i cleaned it all right after and my seats are fine.
