HELP IM CONFUSED
ok i am at my whits end i dont know what to do. i have a 95 ls with aem sr intake dc sport 4-1 and 2.25 piping. i also have (but not installed) crower stage 2's and skunk2 intake manifold (was planning on gettint the head ported, and valve springs and reatainers and valves. but now i dont want to buy them yet till i fiqure out what i want to do)now people dont want me to install the stage 2s' due to the low compression. and i dont have the top end for the manifold . so i was thinking ls/vtec but i dont know what head to use b16 , b18c1 , b18c5 and i also dont know what else i need for the ls/vtec and i did a search and for 20 mins all i got were posts of peolpe telling other people to do a search so can any please help
Well you may want try other sites as well, such as http://www.team-integra.net/. Just keep looking around. All I can tell you is LS/vtec is a waste of money to do it right and even then I wouldn't trust one. Alot of ricers that want LS/Vakk 9krpm power are going to tell you otherwise. Put the money into a new gsr engine, or put a nice nurbo setup on your LS, both will produce more power and be more reliable than ls/v.
Use C-speeds compression calculator to test piston, block, and head combinations.

B16 and ITR heads are the same casting. The ITR has better valves, valve springs, and lost motion assemblies. Plus the ITR head is factory ported and polished at the valve seats and the castings are hand selected. The B18C1 head will provide the higher compression ratio.
I think for the LS/VTEC you need to install an oil line for the VTEC, use a P28 or P72 ECU, and modify one of the dowel pin holes in the head. Keep in mind that I have not done this, but these are things that I have read. Use them as a guide.

i was like you about a year ago, didnt know what to do with my LS motor. Well after reading and reading and reading some more, i found that joining the dark side would be the most satisfying for what im looking for out of my car. I mean i thought about doing a K20 swap, then i thought about doing a whole itr swap, then i thought about doing a LS/vtec. But for what i want out of the motor ie. hp/trq and the kind of driving i do with it (weekend driving only) adding a huge snail just sounded soooo good. Like alot of people are going to tell you its up to you to make the decisions. I mean its your money and your time and effort. What ever it may be good luck.
