Custom Heliums... Post your pics!!!
Anyone painted they're heliums or stripped the paint off? What im wondering is if theres a polishable surface under there for a nice and shiney lip? If you guys got em painted ***** em up!
Yea...extreme lightweight+ cheap cast rims dont usually mix too well.
I'd sooner go with the Rota C8's over those...but also...you can look into Falken Hanabi, they are cheap and lightweight as well...8 spokes...I have a set of 17's and they weigh 17 lbs.

I believe all rims break if not driven on correctly. Forge rims are a bit more durable than cast.
I prefer these over c8s but it's an opinion call.

Anyone try adding a lip color?</TD></TR></TABLE>
i was planning on taking them back down to bare metal, and polishing the lip and repowder coating them but wanted to go back with more of a stock look. it would have taken some work but i think they would have looked pretty good.

when i stripped mine down, i tried useing paint stripper and aircraft remover on just the lip after tapeing it off. but they turned the section an off white and still left paint on them. after that they looked like crap so i used a large glass bead blaster at my dads shop, this took the paint off but it took some work even useing the bead blaster.
