I know buying Turbochargers from ebay is a Huge Gamble.....but I came across this deal for a t3/to4e Turbocharger for only $250bux pluz shippin.... what caught my eye is that it comes with a 1 Year warrenty!..... is it worth it?? I bought my T3 garrett off Ebay and its been no problem.... its just that the blades on this turbo lookz kinda cheap..

You get what you pay for. Buying important stuff like turbo's should not be bought off Ebay. Just my $.02

 

thats basically an XSpower ssauto turbo, it has a 2 piece cast compressor housing known to crack and break in half, known for blowing seals left and right, but I heard those ones in general arent as bad as the ones with the black tag around the outlet of the compressor that says "turbocharger" so that ones better in the pic, but damn man I agree with 01IntegraGSR a Turbo is very important in the setup. If you going to do it, do it right the first time.

 

dont do it. you'll regret it later. a friend of mine learned the hard way. he bought an xs power turbo and i blew the same day it was installed. listen to the other guys, they're right. thats a very important part that you don't want to half *** on.

 

Big no listen to others respones to the turbo...
Think of it this way you are turboing your car the main word is turbo so you wouldnt want to choose a crappy turbo...

What i did was bought my turbo from the factory thats in my state and i also have warrenty but if anything goes wrong i can just send it back to them and get it back the next day or drive 6 hours.... Basically dont get the most important item thats very vital to you off ebay.. you will regret it...

btw Phil... i found a Brand new Garrett Exhaust wheel with a new shaft for $99bux... is that the part i need to fix the original Turboneticz t3/t4 that blew in 10minz??

 

yes thats an ss auto turbo, but no its not the 2 piece compreessor housing. the ones with the 2 piece housing are the FAKE ssauto turbos (im actually serious) u can tell them by the big XSPOWER cast into the compressor housing.


that turbo is fine, buy it, run it, you'll make power

nope. i bet you all the inernal shaft systems all bent to hell. the housings the barings all that will need to be changed. also the compressor wheel is fubared from rubbing up against the housing. to rebuild it you're lookin at 300$ for most rebuilders anwyays. after you spent all that money . why not get a real t3t4 ? btw you never had a t3t4. that was a t3 with a larger T3 turbonetics housing. wasnt even a real turbonetics. this turbos' sold by jonesstangs

and P.s ive played with these turbos in person just to see what its like . and umm it spints 270 degrees and hits the housing. = SHITTY balancing and machining.


as for saying "FAKE XS power" dude .. who in their right mind wants to mimic XS ? if they were smart they'd make fake garrett housings. thats just a GIMMIC for XS power to say " nope that wasnt us".. you guys totally buy into this marketing BS.

made 240 on one of those turbos and it cooked like a month later and shot oil out of every spot it could

 

Smoked mine by the end of the block... They are built like ****. after I took my smoked one out, the amount of material removed from the wheels to balance the ****** was ridiculous. Mine had a turbonetics ex housing, though....Weird. Since i got a REAL Garret center, section and had ALAMO turbo in Kent, WA build me a New hybrid... I am very happy... 250 dollar lesson learned. The only things left worth a **** were the exhaust and compressor housings.....

 

Guess I'll stick with my garrett t3 for now.... Hey phil.. you guys got time to do another Integra thiz weekend???

 

Last time I bought a turbo off ebay, I paid for a garrett. A few days later, a pos XS with about .060" shaft play came in the mail.


Unless the seller has 100% feedback and a LOT of it stay away. Stay far away.
