Default just purchase a 88 civic hb white for $975

I just purchase a 88 civic hatchback. i think dx. Is this a good candidate for a b series swap in future.??? I own a boosted gsr, just purchase this civic for commuter for $975. 127k original miles 1 owner. White. Body looks decent but seats are torn but its cool. In the future will i be able to swap a b18c1 ??? Btw im curious why its a 4 speed manual not 4 speed?

its a 4 speed because its not a dx its a std model. If you swap it you will need to change the hubs to dx/si or da.

MPFI = multi-point fuel injection, as opposed to your stock setup which is dual-point fuel injection. The STD's got this (and I think DX's too?) , where basically you have two injectors right after the throttle body, instead of the Si's where you would 4 injectors lined up on the intake mani, right before the head.
The swap involves a bit of rewiring, but a handful of companies out there offer conversion harnesses to reduce the headaches for first-timers. Rywire comes to mind... there's a bunch others, but I'm blanking out.

Yes dxs too. I'm about to do my swap. Total cost is prolly tops 100 bucks and it's like a 10 whp difference (or so they say).

The wiring isn't that bad, I've done all my own so far, DIY powa!
