Default Tube Chasis?

Ok I have a 94 civic coupe which has been wrecked in the front before and wasnt fixed properly by the previous owner. I was gonna replace the strut towers and all the sheet metal forward ie core support etc.
I got to thinking I might as well looking in to doing a tube type chassis. I didnt know if Honda racers ever did "front halfs" on race cars kinda like how Muscle car guys "back half" a car? If there is a proper way to do this I know I can do it myself if shown how its done one fwd cars since Im a auto tech. Thanks for any info

A tube front clip is difficult because the car has no frame to tie it into.It can be done but it is a major project.I've seen people weld on a new stock front off a rear ended car.

Yeh I have put new factory frame rails on a hatch before...thats fairly easy. Im thinking a tube chassis is gonna be over kill for me. Ill probably just end up getting new strut towers.

Its not too difficult to replace the front end like you're talking about. I bought 2 cars and a friend that owns a body shop made one out of them.

Ive done that before on a hatch which would be the same for my coupe. I was curious about a tube chassis. Thanks for the pics and help anyway. I work in a body shop so doing the factory fix is easy.

So out of curiosity, about how much did that front clip weigh, without the engine and everything in it? Is there any weight savings achieved by replacing large parts of the chassis with tube framing?
