I was curious, does any one have any links to any write ups or specs on the jdm d15b vtec? my buddy has a 90 hb dx that hes selling and i have a lead on a d15b. has anyone ever done this swap before? will a 91 si tranny fit?, how hard would it be to wire up? any help would be great thanks

 

Yeah you can use the 91 si tranny..Convert to mpfi and obd1,, then add the wires for vtec and run the correct ecu..If this is the regular Jdm D15b vtec you can get away with running a p28 stock or chipped but if this is the 3 stage vtec motor its better to have the correct 3 stage ecu..

Regular D15b vtec is basiaclly a D15z1 block with a D16z6 head ..Search for more info of this motor on this site..
