Taking paint off Rims
Ok, so I got a set of mint 99 Si rims, they look awsome and are a step up from my cracked black slips...only problem is they are painted black. They look okay on my hatch....old pic of my hatch so you can see the color
BUt, I think the hatch would look better with the stock looking Sis. So, my question is HOW/CAN I take the paint off the rims and get them looking stock again? is it possible, or once they are painted are they F-ed? I know I could use some of that silver rim paint, but will that get it back to that nice stock look again?
Thanks for any help
I'll get pics of the HB as it sits w/ the Si rims in black to get some opinions.

aircraft paint stripper would take off all the paint...then just clean it up and clear it again for the stock look
sweet...so I can just stip the paint, what kind of clear do I get? Is there a special rim clear coat, or is it the same as the clear they would use on car paint?
Thanks...only took 3min to get a response...I <3 H-T

now just one last question...personally I think they look better in silver...(tomorrow of them as they are on the car), But given the fact that you can see what color my car is now, do you think they will look good on my car in silver?

OK...so on Wed I'm buying the paint stripper and the clear coat. Is it safe to use the stripper on the rims while the tires are still on? I figure I could use bags to tape off the tire from the rims.
