here are some pics of the d15 i blew up, I threw a rod through the block. i put a new D15 in the car
i didnt have the money or the time to put a better engine in o well maybe next time

how much horse are thoes rods rated at i didnt even have much done to that engine and only 99k miles on it i dont think i was that hard on it how often do these things go like this

all i have done is a header hiflow cat catbackexhaust and an intake so pretty much stock i dont think it was the power that blew it more abuse then any thing else at the time when it blew i was just driving it perfectly normal then boom a big cloud of smoke but o well

SOMETHING other then driving "abuse" killed that engine. I've abused mine far more then you could have ever hoped to and never had an issue like that. Come to think of it, it hasn't given me any problems. My 110k miles old 93 EX coupe that I bolted a blower to never gave me any trouble either...

Yes low oil can cause this. The rod bearings won't be lubricated, they will bind and the crank will still be spinning causing the rod to snap and shoot through the block.

Its my only car and I NEED it to get me to and fro everyday. Not trying to blow it up
