Default Silly Ebayer....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

That is the part for sale. I emailed him, told him the dohc zc head won't bolt to the D16A6 block.

His response: (copy and paste from my messages)

"lol obviously you have no idea i heard all these people arguing back and forth about whether this will work or not so after i took this head off my zc i went down to advanced auto and bought a d16a6 head gasket and surprise surprise it was the almost identical. the piston passages were perfect one bolt hole is slightly different as is one water jacket if a remember correctly it took it to a head shop and they fixed that. i out it on an d15b2 which is perfectly identical to d16a6.we got it running but i forget with what. i think we used a timing belt wate pump from old prelude si and a distributor off a 88-89 integra and then of course u still 88-89 integra computer and you have to wire the cam sensor and i think thats it. now im not trying to argue but i have done this so until dont try to say its not possible"

I feel bad for anyone thinking this will work...

I believe user "baseballinmyass" did that, and first everyone made fun of him because they thought he was full of ****, but then they just made fun of him for doing alot of work for no real performance gains.

wtf....i thought the zc was d series?
it should bolt up with a 88 prelude si
timing belt....

like for instance...i have a zc block
but not a dohc zc head...i got a vtec
head on it from a d16z6....

i never did the zc head on a d16 block
but im guessing it should work....

Sohc motors and Dohc motors have different bolt patterns..The seller is trying to make it seem like you can bolt a dohc zc head right on a D16a6 block and it will fit perfect when in realily it wont fit without some time at the machine shop..And its not even worth it anyway..

Yeah dohc zc,D16a1,D16a8,D16a9,etc.. is different then soch zc,D15s,D16s,etc..

It worked for you because you have sohc block with a sohc head..

Thats probally why he is mistaken is he is thinkin about the sohc zc in comparison. Either way, you don't use a d16a6 headgasket on a DOHC ZC, you use a 88/89 integra headgasket from what i heard because it is DOHC. the d16a6 headgasket will fit the SOHC zc though, DUH.

Either that or he has a DOHC ZC block already.

Also it sprayed coolant and oil all over the engine bay as the head and block didn't line up perfectly.. Still, it was a turbo D15 with a DOHC ZC head.. so it's been done

And remember the guy with the B16 with a B18 non-vtec head swap. good stuff
