Valve Adustment
I have a 1988 honda prelude 2.0 si and recently had the head redone because of bent valves, after having a compression check done the honda dealership determined that the rings were not holding compression. now that i had new piston rings and head gasket i am getting the same readings, cylinder 2 has about 50psi, the rest have less than 10 and cylinder one has a 0 reading. anyway i was wondering if it could just be my valves not being adjusted correctly. i dont think i put the rocker arms back in the same place and i have never adjusted them, could it be possible that a low or 0 reading would be from this? If not what else could it be?
well if you have new head gasket and piston rings then its time to check your valve lash, i'm not sure what it is for the 88 prelude. and if your valve lash is fine then you might have a problem with your valves not seating right which is making you lose compression.
did you have a machine shop redo your head with brand new valves and did you get new valve seal also?

I also have a 88 SI. What were the correct valve lash settings for the intake and exhaust? I am noticing a slight click, and figured Id check them before to see if the are out of spec.
