Default b16 tranny on LS-T: what rpm to not have to shift into 5th?

I just recently bought a b16 cable tranny for my Ls turbo. However, the ******* sold it to me with no 5th gear! first through fourth are flawless, and since this is a drag only car, I never go on the freeway. My question is, what rpm do I have to raise my redline to (with a built valvetrain and type-r oil pump of course) to not have to shift into fifth in the 1/4 mile? With my LS tranny I ended up at 120 mph at the end of the 1/4 mile. I run 24.5" slicks in my setup...

anyone have any ideas?

Alex

id think having a si tranny wouldn't be a good tranny for an ls turbo, i kow a lstranny would be great b/c of the gearing, whichi heard was good for turbos.

....you shoud try using your LS fith gear in the b16. Raise the rev limit to
9500rpm but try and get your hands on fludidamper or ATI stop some of the harmonic vibrations in the motor @high rpm.

.....imo, a b16, GSR, or type R trannys are better than any LS trany for boost, spray, or all motor.
