Default fitting polly bushes, well gonna try

im thinkin about replacing all the bushes on my 92 civic hatch.only problem is i dont have a press , and im to tight to take parts to get a machine shop to do them. i have a bench mounted vice , just wondered if i could use that to push them out , any tips ??.

Good luck with that. If you want it done and done right, take your car to a shop and pay them to do it. If you can afford to have your car in pieces, and to buy the right tools to do the job, then try it yourself. Its not a sunday afternoon project by any means.

it will not be possible to take the stock ones out with the vice you can press the new poly ones in with the vice tho.


taking the stock ones out will require drilling and burning the old bushing out then using a hack saw to cut a notch in the sleeve and hammering the sleeve out.
its a **** load of work and it deff will take over a day to do it.

cheers for the advice guys , think i might leave it on axle stands and take the parts somewhere ,theres not much left of the standard bushes its 14 year old

Thats what I would do. The biggest prob for most people is leaving their car up in the air for an extended period of time.
