Default vtec-e engine from vx into crx hf

This might sound stupid, and i might get flamed for it, but I have an hf for a commuter car and not really interested in it for performance. Would this swap be feasible and make sense? (It seems like it would, adding around 35 hp and getting as good/probably better mpg.) I was thinking of it as a much cheaper alternative to an insight.

Actually, just finished dropping a VTEC-E into a CRX sometime last week.
Not a terrieble idea -this guy was in a similar situation and we get him the motor extremely cheap.
Again -it is not something that was done for speed -and if you are just looking for a engine to commute with -go for it.

Whatever you do I would suggest you keep the HF transmission if your planning to get the most fuel economy. Rywire can do your wiring for you
