Default What size slicks for my turbo Si

Hey guys.

I got a 99 civic si, im planning on getting some slicks for it this season. I was thinking Lenso wheels but i dont know if i should run 22's or 24.5's? The car makes 430hp (pump). Also should i run mt's or m & h slicks?

thanks

Jay,

speeddreams is correct. The 24.5x8.5x13 from M&H is the perfect choice. As far as turbo setups, its mainly used from 250hp all the way to 700hp.

Once you get in the higher HP range, then other factors come to mind such as gearing, turbo size, gear based boost control, driving style, etc.

but at 430, thats a perfect hp to push these slicks.

The 22" is too small for the HP and gearing you have. Usually turbo setups making 300hp+ can overpower the 22" slicks. You can make it to work at around 300 or so, but with a b16 gearing, its too small and you'll run out of gear with a slick size that small.
