LS or b16 cable tranny? i hear that it's better to boost on the LS tranny because of the longer gears... any inputs? would i be better off to stay with the b16 cable tranny?

 

wheres the info on ls tranny being better for boost because they need to be slapped.thats just not true at all. get the b16 tranny it will be better for boost and get one with lsd. also this would go better in the FI fourm.

 

Ls is better for highway driving b/c of the longer gears. but if your not using it as a every day driver the B16 trans will always have better pick up. goodluck.

 

thanks for the quick response guys. it will actually not be for daily driving. it's more of my weekend car.

 

it's debatable. ppl say long gearing for longer boosting. ppl say short gearing to stay in the power band.

i want to say go with long gearing.

 

depends on the engine, id say LS motor, Ls trans, any vtec motor then b16 trans
