New CF EVO hood...need help installing
Hey, I'm new to the site. Just bought a CF hood For my 89 Crx. problem is my X was wrecked last year and the hood latch hole is about an 1''1/2 off. i'm using hood pins but that's all i will be supporting the hood with. ? is where would be the best place to mount the pins and what is the best method for measuring the holes i need in the hood. just paid 600$ for the hood and i don't wanna mess it up, so what drill bit should i use?i know to put the pins inand paint the tops so it marks the hood when i close it..but what's the most accurate way to transfer the measurment from the bottom to the top of the hood. thanks for the help

When I had hood pins on my CF hood, I put them in the corner where the snubbers were. It's allready a nice flat surface to drill. I'd post pics but we-todd is down. BTW why on earth would you buy an evo hood for a crx?
thanks 4 the help. should i try replacing the part where it latches or will the pins be enough. i bought the evo hood cuz it's the only one i really liked. couldn't c payin that much for an OEM hood. It's the right hood tho, i made sure it fit.

The latch is a nice feature. I had pins on a stock hood at one point and I removed the latch, and someguy got mad because I was banging his ex, and pulled my pins, resulting in my hood flying up at 50, causing about $2000 in damage. If you don't use the latch check the pins religiously, you never know when some *** walked by and pulled them. other than that the pins will work fine alone, I just liked them for safety reasons.
