Default THE FINEL DESISION: 220v mig, budget $500

hello everybody.

its time to make the finel decision.
i'm looking for a deacent 220v mig for under $500.

im gonna be using it for making exhausts and such....

probly not going to happen for a 220v unit, i think the lincoln is like 6 or 7 hundred, and the miller/hobart is even more.

check out cyberweld.com or ebay for a welder. A 220v with the big 3 companies isnt gonna happen unless you find one used.

I paid 495 shipped for my 175 pro mig. You can get them for $475 shipped. I've seen them go for as little as 430 all brand new.

My pro mig seems like a nice machine so for. It even has aluminum capabilities

alot of pepole told me to stay away from linco so i;m a bit frustrated now.

what about clarck?

Lincoln is a great brand... The big three companies that are highly recommend are:

1. Miller
2. Lincoln
3. Hobart (made by miller)

I would keep them in that order too. ALl the professional welders I have met over the years use Miller only for every machine they own. You also see them all over work trucks. Hobart is made by miller, its the economy brand but its not much cheaper.

id take either of them over clark
