I am a tech at Honda and we were messing with the new HDS (scan tool) and we found that you can change the region to Japan, and choose the Japanese model car you have. On my car I had to use the three pin adapter. You do have to pick the car model/year/ and "vin". Good thing I have the whole car!! I put the serial # in starting with the "C" and I was able to use all of the HDS functions. You can watch sensor functions in real time, read any DTC's, and do data logging on nearly any sensor combo you want to watch including injectors, O2 etc... Pretty damn cool!!

 

Sweet, maybe some people can apply this to having their cars pass emmision tests easier too.

in that picture it looks like the OS is pocket PC and they have some type of program that takes care of the diagnostics. i wonder how much that program is?

 

Do you know if it's possible to modify the cruise control limit values with HDS? I have a JDM crv with cruise, but it's limited to 115,km/hr when using cruise control.
