KYB GR-2/TEIN S Tech Combo...What could have they done?
Alright well, today I took my car to get my new struts and springs put on. KYB GR-2s and Tein S Techs...The DC needed it due to the horrible bouncing ride it had from some horribly cheap coilovers, but it was dropped a good 2.5 -3 inches on them...haha. Well, I leave and come back to find my car looking like an old hot rod with like hoosiers on the back. I mean the front is now lower even a good inch lower than with the coilovers on it (Now 3-4 inches) and the rear raised up about 2-3 inches...Well I thought they may have accidentally mixed up the front and rear and so did they...well they switched them...It looked the exact same....Here are some pics, any ideas on what they could have done? Please...my car looks ridiculous...

did you have to post this on TI and HT?
get under the car and see if the markings of front and rear are visible on any of the springs

that's the way S-tech's are. I used to use them, they are under my bed now. I use omni full coils. the s-techs are advertised to drop 3.6 front and 1.8 rear.
so your system is functioning properly. If you think about it, more weight in the front is better for acceleration, traction, and handling. it just doesnt look that great. those springs should be much more comfortable than coilovers (sleeves, or full coils)

Wow, you said yourself that the kit drops the back 1.8, well, that's not dropped 1.8 in the back. I don't think there is a 6 inch gap stock, is there? Something is installed improperly. Either that, or it is for the wrong application, cause no way that is a correct drop from any manufacturer.

According to the TEIN site its 2.5 in the front and 1.7 in the rear...
It really just doesn't look right...my friend and I both have the exact same setup...however we went to different people for installation...I wish I had gone where he went now...His looks perfect and he has 16"s...I am tucking on 14" factory wheels on the front...

Check the numbers on your friends front springs and see if they match yours. I also think that they installed your rear springs up front and fronts on the rear.

Maybe they didnt put the rear springs on the perch correctly? Take the wheels off and make sure. ALso could be b/c the back has less weight and will take longer to settle than the front. Just ideas though.
rofl.. thanks man, i appreciate it.. i just had to show that guy that phils drop isnt normal.. phil= thread starter.. we have the same setup and his is way totally different.. idk

hahaha, sorry baboofka, i meant to say 2.6 and look the website says 2.5.
my mistake, after i typed that i thought to myself, that doesn't look right. I just remember the difference between the front and rear being extreme
