integra type R muffler...welders...anybody
i have an integra type R muffler... and obviously drive a del sol.
went to a muffler shop today (i don't know their reputation) but they told me the muffler was a little to long to go underneath it. i could see there was VERY limited space, but it looked DO-ABLE, just very difficult. anybody have this ITR muffler on a del sol?

I put one on an EG hatch, and it looks/fits great with no rattles... So i'm sure it would be close to the same with the Sol. It can be done, just need to get a little creative
The muffler shop guy gave me a hard time when I went and had mine installed and he did a shitty job that didn't last long. I suggest you do it yourself because most muffler shops don't like doing anything that's not a straight bolt-on operation.
Assuming it's similar to an hatch, all you have to do is cut the factory hangers/bracket off. Weld new brackets on the edge where the bracket was, make them stick out about an inch over the top of the muffler. Cut off the tip and reweld it as close to the muffler as you can.
