lexan windows legal?
I have a sheet of .250" lexan laying at work and since my glass got busted I was considering trying to put it in its place. someone said its not street legal. is this true or bs? is thier any reason why it couldn't be used in a daily driven crx?
it's not street legal, my buddy is a city cop and i had to ask him just to make sure and he said it'sot, i dont know why but, i wouldn't ruina car with instaled just in case of a wrecka nd u ca't bust the glass. i runn full lexan for my all motor drag car, but i wouldnt recomend it for te street.

He's correct as OEM glass has a DOT rating label on them (cops look for that) and PC will not break if you have to get out of a rolled car or emergency workers to try breaking the glass to get you out either too!
Plus your windshield wipers will scratch the heck out of them too......

I have been pulled over with all rear lexan before and the cops never said a thing. He did ask what the scubba tank in the back was for though.
If you are planning on doing this go for it. Just make sure you seal the seams so not water can get inside the car when it rains. The only thing I would not recomend is using lexan on the front windseild due to scratching/visibility.
