Motot swap help for my EF!!!!!
Hey dudes i have a 1989 honda civic hatch that i bought with no motor and i was planning on puting in a b16a obd-o first gen in it and i was told that u have to have a mutiport injection motor in there before u do the swap so the wireing harness will work i did didnt have clue what motor was in there b4 so my carfax report said that it use to have a 1.5L L4 FI and i was wondering if that was a multiport injection motor and if so please let me know and help me out with some other bumps that might occur along the road while swaping this motor into my little hatch.
if its a civic hatchback other than an Si then no you don't have multipoint fuel injection, do a search on it, its been covered thousands of times
no it does not have a sunroof and i dont know if its a si model because when i bought it there was no motor nor emblems on it. and like i said the carfax report i got just said it had a 1.5L L4 fi in it for the motor and i have no clue if that stands for multipoint injection or what aon my title it just said 1989 honda civic 2h.
the factory d15b1,b2 is dpfi which means it only have 2 injectors, mpfi has 4 injectors if you put a mpfi motor in you'll have to do some wiring for the extra injectors..

well im not very good with b-series swap parts, but i know you'll need a modified shifter linkage,mounts,axles,ecu...and you have to bang the drivers side fender well or something like that not sure on that.any b-series guys please help him out im straight up d-series so idk.
um for a b16 swap into a dpfi obd0 vehicle...
ur going to need:
engine mounts (hasport)
shift linkage
axles (90-91 integra)
throttle cable (90-93 integra)
radiator hoses
rear motor mount bracket (90-93 integra)
dpfi-mpfi converion (id recommend upgrading to obd1 as well, but thats your choice)
a new ecu
and you will have to put a good link 2 inch dent or so into the drivers side right under the shock tower for the alternator i think it is
