Best Security System/Remote START
the best alarm you can get is FREE !!!! yes free heres my do it yourself...
1. pull back the kick panel
2. pull back the carpet
3. unbolt the fram arround the ecu
4. unplug the ecu and take it with you
only way they can steal ur car now is to tow it, unless he happens to have a p13 or p28 or somthing witch i doubt, and a quikl release hub and wheel would help too

well my last alarm was a 690xv which is the same as the 790xv but without remote start and the car was stolen. It all just depends on the installer also and how well they know their stuff. I have a Compustar now with remote start and I love it!
I have the 790XV and it was installed by a certified DEI installer, and honestly I don't like the alarm side of it. The vibration sensor is not very sensitive. I can jack up my car, bang on it and it won't even let out a "warning" I have to really rock the car hard to get it to do anything. We turned the sensitivity all the way up and still nothing. Might be a bad unit, but I don't drive it enough to worry about it. The other features are nice tho
Compustar is really nice

lol, I did this for a while with my crx until I started getting lazy. One of my lazy nights I wake up to no more car. Pulling the ecu worked though, just a matter of keeping on it.

i like the ones that page you when they get broken into. next time someone smashes the window on my car, ill call the cops.. but by the time they come, there will only be bodies waiting for them. depending on how far you park from your room/house you should look into those. i have an autopage RS-725LCD. i tested it and it works about a block down the street from my apartment. but in the end it depends on who does the install. get someone creative.
i have the clifford rs2.5x...sad to say that it's not sensitive enough as well.. And the pager isn't loud enough either..i slept right through the beeping when my car was broken into.
