i have a h22 in my civic coupe.. and i ran the 2 lines for the heater core.. one goes to the head thats the one with the regulator thing and the other one goes to my block.. but now tell me why my heat does work still. i unplugged the line and left the adjuster thing open.. yet still the heater core doesnt work... the weird thing is that the lines arent even warm..

any ideas?

You are correct in that the hose from the head (near radiator hose) goes through the valve to the heater core. The other hose comes from the heater core to the water pump suction tube underneath the intake manifold. There should be a nipple fairly close to the water pump housing for the heater hose.

i know that.. but why are both hoses cold even when the car warms up.. that not normal.. the valve is open and coolant should be going into the heater core..
