might have just taken the gear off , it would still be pretty noticeable though

usdm s1 is off 90 da. Maybe 91 too, not too sure.

what grinds is the syncro hub to the gear mesh, not really the teeth of the gear. Look at the sleeve that is pulled/pushed by the gear changer for wear, as well as the mating teeth on the gear.
