opinions on 3.2 TL
I was originally going to invest in fixing up my 2000 accord v6 but I am now interested in the Acura 3.2 TL. I saw a 1999 3.2 TL for sale for about $23,000. My main question concerns the mileage. I need this car to last me for at least the next 5 years, and the car has about 36,000 miles on it. Do you all think this is too much mileage for a used car? Should I expect this car to last me those 5 years? I have never owned an acura so i don't know how reliable they are so if anyone can comment i'll appreciate it.
my moms has a 99 3.2tl.
we have about 30k miles on it, no problems what so ever aside from regualr maintance. oh, the battery did die once, but that was just an isolated incident i think. shes had the car since it was brand new and she treats it like ****. all kinds of scratches and dings. but the car can be fun too... the sporttronic shift is alright, hey, its better than a full auto. if you have the chance, id pick the tl over the accord. its a higher end car and will probably hold its value a lil better than the accord. not much aftermarket support for either of the cars tho... it will just come down to what you want.

So, a used 3.2 TL would be a better value over my current accord? I don't plan on doing any types of radical changes to the TL if i get it. Maybe some drop springs, a body kit, and some rims and tires. And yeah, there is very little aftermarket support for either of these cars but it just seems like too many people already have civics and integras, so i just wanted to try something different.
MugenRD1 i know the type S comes with 260 hp, do you feel it can perform well against modified compacts?

that thing looks like an accord ... and i probably 10 grad more
so u can probably figuire that out
unless the it comes in a 5 speed unlike the v6 accord (which is my major fault wiht that car)

i dont think it looks like an accord buy i dont like bags...
IMO the tl is much better than the v6 accord. the 3.2 tl comes w/ 220hp. not that bad, havent ever taken it to the track, but id say its good for 15's.

hmm well my dad has a white 2002 tl-s and its such a nice and fast car. lots of torque for a honda! i never hit vtec on it before since it only has about 3k miles on it. but still, the lowend torque is impressive.

That is one tight *** ride. the only thing that i would do differently is hav rims that cover up more of the rotors. How much of a drop does it have? Man, i hope i can get one soon.
