1997 prelude sh transmission swap questions?
I have a 1997 Prelude SH and was wondering can I use use the 4th generation H22 tranny on it instead of a 5th gen. base model tranny? Has anyone ever done this. I know you need a custom plate made to hold the shaft to the block.
yes it'll work, but you'll have to swap axles, and get a bracket made in order for the axle to attach to the block. I've seen a company make these a few years back, but I don't remember who it was

Why would you want a base model tranny? Don't like the ATTS?

All you need is an adapter plate for the block and new axles. I believe a member on this site sells them for around $75 bucks. The tranny will bolt right on.

I would keep the atts if i was all motor. I turbocharged it and there is too much wheel slip so I want to get a LSD.
