will a LS VTEC make that much more HP than an LS
My friend is about to start ordering parts to turbo his LS, my main question is if he does a LSVTEC is it going to produce alot more HP than his LS? he is going to have a Venom intake manifold, Crower stage 3 cams, crower dual valve springs, very nice port and polish job, RLD fab mani and downpipe, 38 or 44 tial wastegate, precision intercooler and 1000cc injectors, 60-1 or maybe a GT35R, the main reason why i am asking is "people" claim that the vtec heads flow more in general compared to a LS head. but with the supporting mods he has will they flow around the same? i keep telling him to do an LS VTEC but he likes the fact that it is a non vtec motor and kinda the underdog. so would a lsvtec or ls be better in his situation? the thing what is mainly holding him back from doing to lsvtec is he already has the springs, cams and intake manifold..thanks
LS-V will make more power than a stock LS hands down!!! If built right also more power than a GSR is he planning on turboing his LS-V? or stock LS?

as already stated, if the lsvtec is propperly built, it will produce big numbers (hp and torque)! BUT, I see where you friend is coming from. If he has everything for the ls head already, ie. cams, manifold, valve train...then just stick with the ls head. Either way, when he's done, his motor should be pretty damn quick with the mods listed
Aren't the Crower 403s more of an all-motor cam with that high of a duration? Anyway, since he alread has the parts and wants to do a non-vtec build, I think he should just stay on that path. I think you should do what you want to do, not necessarily what might make the most power.
