Ok who knows something about the new Tanabe Super Racing medalion
Cause i just purchased it last night and wont be able to install till friday, before i slap this on there i wanna know if anyone knows anything about this one as far sa performance and sound. Thanx though for the replies on the other post, i thought for some reason i had purchased the G-Power so i was a little spectacle of that one. Please though give me your thoughts on the super racing medalion
i knew something about it and it was just like one of those things to be the first to have it on the block kinda thing, i did research it before though. ive just never talked to anyone or heard anything about it from a owners point of view. If anyone knows anything about this, im also wondering is there that much of a difference between the regualr racing medalion and the super medalion?
I personally think that the Tanabe sounds very raspy and "dirty". I don't really care for their sound, but they look okay.
i have 2 friends that have that exhaust. one on a prelude and one on a type r. they dont sound all that great and they are EXTREMELY loud. set off alarms wherever you go. i personally like sound of my greddy evo.
It should come with a silencer, wich will keep down some of the loudness.
This is from their site:

The main pipe and fringes made with t=1.2mm super thin stainless steel was reviewed, and very light weight got real.
Ultimate super straight out
It is very straight designed exhaust layout that is pursued exhaust efficiency to an extremity, and saved the pipe's curve minimum.
Jump up style muffler
It is an aggressive jump up style muffler.
Woofer muffler noise was realized
Super thin stainless steel can make dry woofer muffler noise. Inner silencer was set and, the noise volume 103dBA is past the preservation standard(96dBA for1998 the noise regulation measures)

You gotta love english translations of the Japanese language, done by Japanese folks who don't know english.
Anyway, both Super exhausts are fully stainless, which was my main reason for getting my Super Hyper. I've had 2 GReddy's break on me already, so I wanted something "bearing of corrosive and endurance are enriched
". I also wanted something slightly quieter than my GReddy PE with no resonator.
By the way, does anyone want a great-looking, well-taken care of GReddy PE (2 mid-pipes included: the original GReddy with a breached weld that causes the resonator to rattle, and a same-diameter, flanged straight pipe replacement)?
