Ok I have a oil leak from my valve cover. I wanted to know how easy is it to change? what do I need?
I have a 97 LS
no big mods. Only a CAI. and MSD wirez but not installed yet. i wanted to put them on the same day.

If the oil is only leaking from your valve cover all you will need is a valve cover gasket which you can pick up at any auto parts store. At autozone it'll run you $15-$38 Real easy to change. After you remove the valve cover and throw it back on with the new gasket just throw on the wires.

 

dont over tighten the nuts on the valve cover or u will break the studs.

 

yea, just pull the valve cover, off and repalce it w/the $25 kit from autozone, use some sort of sealant on the cam caps that have 90 degree angles.
