Default F22 Problems?

Ok I have a problem my 95 honda accord motor f22b2 took a **** it still runs but their is water in the motor so I took it out and bought a 93 honda accord lx f22a1 I thought they were the same for the most part but after I started takeing stuff apart I find out the Intake ports are not the same my idea was to just switch everything over but now I guess I am going to have to run the intake manifold off the f22a1 on the f22a1 but the thing is their not the same sersors wireing and what not whats the best way to do this anybody know? Does the H23/H22A Intake manifold line up with the ports on the f22a1?

You could still use the F22B2 intake manifold on the F22A1, the air will just go from a small runner into a big intake port. Not sure what the effect would have on performance. It's better than going from a big runner into a small intake port...

The H22 intake manifold will not work but you could use an H23 intake manifold. You could also use an F22A6 intake manifold. The H23 and F22A6 intake manifolds are pretty much the same. You will need the thermostat housing as well as the intake manifold though because the F22Bx thermo housing won't bolt up to the H23/F22A6 intake manifolds.

I'm not sure about the wiring.

Nope, they are not the same, there is a big difference. To the eye its the same, but when actually measured, they are different. If you upgrade from an a6 to an h23 manifold, you will feel the big difference.

but yea, as far as wiring goes, use the f22a6 wiring harness along with its ecu. The f22bx and f22a are very different, the block is the same, just everything else is pretty much different, especially the head.

if you are goin to use the f22a6 or h23 intake manifolds, then u should use the a6 ecu, to work the butterflies, b/c the a1 ecu deosnt do that for u.

ok, sorry. yes, they are different. I know this, I should have worded it differently. Just saying in general they are similar. If measured, the h23 has slightly longer runners and the plenum of the H23 is larger as well. I believe the TB is also larger on the H23 but I'm not sure.
