New Clutch
I need a new clutch in my Euro-R lude and need some advise on what i should go with. I'll probably be putting down around 230 whp. I saw this clutch on ebay, you think its a good idea to get it? It's a genaric pressure plate and an Exedy stage 1 organic clutch disc. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting. Is this a good clutch for my set up? And i'm gonna be running whatever clutch i get with the fidanza 8 lb flywheel.

stage one is good. its a sprung disk btw. if you are going for daily driving and some strip use its good. i run a exedy stage 3 unsprung 6 puck on the street. the engagement is a little harsh but on the track its heaven

i wouldnt trust it. just get a whole setup from exedy or a good dealer. i can get you a good price on one if you like, it would have to be monday. i go through a wholesaler here in va, i could call and get a price for ya and shoot you his number so you could arrange payment and shipping if you like. just ordered one mnoday for about $240..which is pretty good since it came with an exedy pressure plate, disc, and throwout bearing and alignment tool. just let me know.

That would be awesome, i'll definately consider that. You got the organic stage 1 exedy?

i ordered a stage 1 organic for a buddy of mine who's running a turboed mini me in a hatch. got it in today and he's already driving on it. 650 miles today to be exact and its grabbing hard. the thing with any clutch when you first put it in is to break it in properly. no launching, no burn outs. just driving like you did when you had your learners permit. after 500 miles have fun. as for myself i run a six puck on the street. little bit rough but it is a race clutch sooo...
I have the exedy stage one clutch on my lude. Have had absolutely no problems so far. I've gone thru 2 clutches already too and i like this is. It's basically an OEM replacement clutch. I've heard nothing but good things about a Excedy online, and their prices are great!

isn't it supposed to be more of a street/track use clutch? It has more torque capacity than the stock clutch...right?
