Default First S-car quirk

Hey everyone, I've had my S since September and noticed my first quirky thing.

Wouldn't you know it, it's in that digital cluster that's been on my **** list since day one.

Fuel readout is "stuck" on full. Resetting, fiddling w/ the trip computer and other readout parameters did not change anything. Any recalls or flaky sensors I should know about?

It could also be a stuck float valve in the tank. I guess you should remove whatever is easiest. Dash or tank?

Okay, thanks for the input.

Somehow I doubt it, this car was rolled off the truck and into my hands w/ 12 miles on it.

Do you think resetting the ECU would help?

Believe me, I've *wanted* to take it out and put something else in, but it's relatively a low priority in my garage's to-do list right now. :-)

Do you still have the factory warrenty? If so, I would not bother with it and take it in to get it fixed, even more so since it's a digital dash. With my luck I would pull it out and break it even more.

^GOOD POINT. Let the dealer replace the cluster under warranty. It's probably not the tank since it's an 05. Good luck with that.

Why are you even discussing this on here? Why isnt it at Honda right now being serviced? You buy the car new, you pay good money for the damn thing, why is it that everyone seems to come here first before easily bringing it to Honda and letting them fully take care of it as they should under warranty?

*sigh*

Ah, good old H-Tech. I can always count on that early morning sarcasm w/ my coffee. :-)

Pedantic questions deserve pedantic answers; the reason for my post was to see if anyone else has had this problem, or to correlate this with a possible known issue, not to start playing backyard mechanic w/ my new car. Clear enough?

Thanks everyone else for your input. The car is going in for service regardless and hopefully this will get resolved.
