check engine codes

I have check engine codes 9 and 12. They are the Problem 12 EGR and problem 9 which is CYL. Does anyone know what i can do to repaire this? I have reset the ECU but i still get the check engine light (not very often but it is there). Any ideas?

the code 9 is the distributor unit and just replace your EGR valve.

I dont think for obd2 cars. I believe they have it external like there CPS. If so check it out.
