I need help with brake lines and master cylinder
In my 95 GSR, I'm in the process of stripping my engine bay and prepping for paint. The only things left are the ABS modulator unit, the hard lines, and the MC/BB. How do you take these out? I've bled the fluid out of the reservoir with a turkey baster, and attached a line to the ABS bleeder valve to collect the fluid and releave the ABS pressure. I've turned it 1/4 turn like the chilton manual says. Nothing. I've turned it 1 1/2 turns. Nothing. I've tried pumping the pedal. Nothing. How can I remove the ABS, hard lines, and brake booster with master cylinder without the system blowing up on me? Do I even need to bleed this, or can I just use a flare wrench and just start taking the hard lines out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Good stuff. I'm still left with 2 questions though. Can you just unscrew the hardlines out of the modulator unit, or will the pressure burst out? And this person bled the fluid from where the hardline and softline meet. Will this work, or again, will the pressure burst out? It seems as easy as unscrewing and draining fluid (while pumping pedal) into a bowl, but I wanna make sure the pressure wont rip my face off. Everything I've read about ABS says CAUTION de-pressurize first. Thanks for the link though.

just unblot them, nothing will happen. Make sure you use a "flare" wrench so you don't round the fittings.
The master cylinder creates the pressure needed, the ABS modulator is a series of valves that applies the braking pressure/pulse to the correct wheel.
