I want to swap out my D16y7 with a different engine. I am also in California so it needs to be a swap that will allow me to pass emissions as well. I currently have a automatic trans which I want to get ride of as well. So what engine can I use and what else will I need to do the full engine and Tran swap? I know I will need to get new engine mounts, ECU, pedals, shifter and linkage.

Any help on this question will be appreciated.

I forgot which OBD you have to use to pass it with a swap, but just search I'm sure this topic has been covered before.
