do all 1998+ preludes come with h22a motor???
Hey there, my friend is going to an auction for me and i need to tell him what prelude i want. I was wondering if all 1998 and up ludes have the h22 motor and what the difference was if i get the SH lude or regular. thanks
all 1997 and up ludes come with H22's. Search about the differences for the SH, you'll find a lot. But pretty much, the SH handles better but cant handle as much hp as the base. If you plan on putting down more than what...230 or something whp then go with the base. If not, go with the SH.
what do u mean?? so ur sayin if i give my friend cash and say go get me a lude from the auction ill get the h22. I just want something quick and i dont have tht much $ would u suggest even getting a lude?
all 5th generation preludes (1997-2001) came with H22a4 engines.
The SH model (Super Handling) has a special system called ATTS (Automatic Torque Transfer System). If one of the wheels gets some spin, the system transfers power to the wheel that is getting traction for better handling.
Both the SH and Base models have 190 horsepower.
I'm not too sure why the SH cannot handle more power because of modifications, but i'm sure it has something to do with the ATTS.

if you don't know the difference, and you just want something quick, then it doesn't matter which 5th gen you get.
