Default air bag test

As I understand it, air bags are supposed to be tested after ten years. I have a 95 Civic that was built in August. That means I'm overdue for testing. How do you test air bags without crashing into a wall?

best bet is to contact the dealership and ask them. They might laugh at you or try to sell you a new air bag.

I have never heard of testing an airbag but maybe it is true. The stealership is a good place to start.

Cheers and report back!

there is a sensor box that connects to the airbag. That sensor unit is what detects and accident. My guess is that you dont actually test the airbag...but you unhook the airbag and test the sensor unit to see if it still works. That's my guess.
