im getting terrible gas mileage. on my 97 lx. im talking like 210 mile to the tank. which is less than 20 miles/gallon. i changed the fuel filter and im not running rich. i dont beat on it all day long. im stumped.

does anybody have any suggestions?

 

check your spark plugs. a bad primary/secondary o2 sensor also brings down gas mileage. i had a dead primary o2 sensor for a few tanks, brought it down to the 20s.

other than that, you could try a can or two of seafoam, and see how it turns out. if you dont feel like using sea foam, try a fuel system cleaner on a fresh tank.

this current winter blend of gas brings lower gas mileage, but you shouldn't be *that* low. i'm getting 26-28 mixed highway use, with 28-30 during the summer.

 

my o2s check out. so you think it might be bad spark plugs?
