in the Prelude Pictures thread, there's a few dozen. I think it looks tight, but only w/ certain colors. If I had one, I'd paint it to match the car...but that's just me.

I have a few q's for people that have that:

What brand(s) did you guys get?

How is the fitment on them?

Do you have to use the stock license plate holder for them?

How much were they?

Where did you get them from?


I've really been looking into getting one for my car, and this'll probably be the next mod...

 

my main question is how much does it weigh?? (vs the stock one)

 

The weight difference was great! easily half the wight of a stock trunk. I mainly got mine because there were holes from a dumb spoiler that was on the trunk before i got the car, and there was rust on it too. I did have to use my stock license plate holder, and i had trouble getting the trunk lock in on the CF lid, so i just shaved the key hole. Other than that the fitment was pretty good. I ordered mine strait from VIS. About $500ish.

 

I wonder if anyone would make a cf oem style wing? i dunno if that'd look good or not though...

i have the vis you have to use the stock lic. plate holder

you save only a little bit of weight

 

it should come with the license plate holder built in, that would look ridiculous unless you painted the whole thing....
