ys1 parts qustion

Default ys1 parts qustion

i need an input shaft bering for my cable ys1 tranny. i just read another tread that said the only cable ys1 were jdm is this true? also what car would i have to get the bearing for?

no.

if you need a bearing, buy a new one. you could have clearance issues due to wear patterns of a different tranny if its used.

as for the ys1 only being in japan; thats also false.

the ys1 came in the 92-93 integra gs-r (b17) for only two years and its the only cable gs-r trans as far as i know.

it also came out of 90-91 integra ls, gs, rs. correct me if im wrong but i think the trans code changed for the ls, gs, rs in 92 when the clutch became hydraulic.

ok thanks i must have been un clear in my post i wasnt planning on useing a old bearing i planned on buying one form honda directly and need to know what car to get it from but thanks for the info.

92-93 integras were YS1s.

the GSR had the close ratio gears, but the bearings are the same otherwise.

Integra clutches weren't hydraulic until 94

go to an online Acura parts dealer and look up the PN's cross reference
with other years. it's really not that hard.

and btw you can download the EPC if you look for it hard enough.
