Some people are hearing clunking noises in the suspension. I haven't heard any noise in the 1 month that I had the oem suspension.
I have no con's that I can think of from owning it. What color are you looking at getting?

the 05-06 type's is a great car.. LSD is not that big a deal in everyday driving unless you autocross to work and school.

Pro's-

-05-06 body looks better and is updated from the 02-04 IMO
-Type-r cams and Exhaust
-Better seats
-All around a great car
- k20z1 is an awsome motor that responds well to basic mods (Its possible to hit high 13's with basic bolts ons I/RH/E/ESMM/ suspension)

Con-s
-Insurance is a little high
-NO LSD (not that serious)
- Some say that its outdated but I dont agree
- Some argue that the SI is a better deal

I myself am looking to hopefully purchase an 06 type-s this weekend for invoice if everything goes right **crossing fingers** I just really like the look of the type-s over the civic which in my opinion makes up for the price.. Good luck with the purchase.

And oh yea, try clubrsx.com, there is a lot more info there about the DC5

I love my Type-S. I had the suspension problem but I took it to Acura and they fixed it. Otherwise, no problems. I got the pearl white.

I stilll think you can talk them down a bit... Im going to get an 06 for a little over invoice which is $22,300... If they went down that much I would say try to talk them down another $500 at least... But BOM is a hot color... Good luck with the purchase

it's only 4 seater, otherwise, it's a perfect car, I would probally choose it over the 06 Civic Si, "only if they were the same price"...

Great car, but um....lets see, a con....um.

Oh, the shifter looks a bit too much like a girl's play thing.

Pros: Looks, engine noise, handling, looks, color, stereo, looks...

I agree about the tires, stickier tires would be the best first mod. I absolutly love my 06 s.

YES. A LOT MORE. One of the quotes I got was about a $60-$80 difference which is a lot for 2 cars that are very similar. I am still looking at getting the type-s tho.

These are the quotes I got from my friend who sells insurance.. I also live in CA which sucks!

2006 Acura RSX Type-S:

w/o ticket: $2595 / year; and $216 / month
With ticket: $3428 / year; and $285 / month

2006 Honda Civic Si:

w/o ticket $2002 / year; and $166 / month
With ticket $2644 / year; and $220 / month

I got a VBP

BOM is a nice color. I was going to get a BOM but they sold it right before I got there and I didn't want them to drive one up from another dealership, so I got the VBP.

He works for INSWEB, he gets quotes from 4 companys.. But since you're under your dads insurance you should have your dad cover you for the oldest and cheapest car that you guys have. When your covered for one, your covered for all of them. An RSX for you would be about $400 bucks a month at least. Im 23 years old by the way.

One thing to rememeber when comparing insurance rates is age and location. My insurance went up when I moved from Atlanta to Jacksonville. When I was 24 my insurance on my S was $204 a month. Now at 25 it is $142 a month. Needless to say I was glad to turn 25.

Very true, I live in CA also where the theft rate is a lot higher than anywhere else.. So that has a lot to do with it.
