Default Service Problems

So I just brought my car in for a tune-up and service the atts and the shop while on a test drive snapped my shifter linkage. I have never had a problem with it and the car has under 60k miles. They are giving me an estimate of 750$ to fix the damage that they did when they were driving it on top of the cost to service. Now call me crazy but they should cover the damage they did when they were driving the vehicle yea?

Did you sign a waiver form to free them of any liability from ruining the car?

If yes then, no.

If no then, yes.
