Front bumper questions. 88 CRX front bumper cover with foglight cutouts?
I am looking to put in some foglights however my bumper cover has no cutouts for foglights. I see on ebay that the 91-92 bumper cover has the cutouts. Will those bumpers interchange? Or is there a 88 bumper cover that has the cutouts? Or should I just hack at it?
please correct me if Im wrong but inorder to change from the 88-89 bumper you must have the fenders too? oh and yeah your 88 has no cut outs.. if you think you could make it look cool.. I say go for broke and cut the holes yourself.. just take your time.

Ok then. If that is the case you answered all of my questions! Looks like there may be some "surgery" this weekend.

incorrect. you dont need the fenders. just put the 90-91 bumper on.

88-89 and 90-91 bumpers fit 88-91 without modifying anything. However, your bumper lenses are different between the 2 sets of years. The foglight holes are not precut.

Ok then I can just swap 'em. That is what I wanted to know. I need a new cover because mine is smashed up.
Thanks again.

Actually if I was going to cut it, ya, kinda like that.
Take a look at this poor thing. Does it really matter?

^Ouch. Yeah, the 88 CRX's didn't have the fake air dams to mount the foglights on. The hatch did though, and trust me when I say the OEM fogs fill the huge holes perfectly
. Still need to get some time to fab up my custom brackets to recess them though.

you can put a 90-91 front bumper on and it will fit fine...however the moldings will look a little weird.they will not match up right because the 90-91 moldings are quite a bit thinner than 88-89.
looks ok to me but that passenger side looks alittle cocked and it kind of looks tacky since you can see the mounts right behind them..It would look so much better if you had the 90-91 bumper and put them in there..Ive seen the new bumeprs on ebay for like $80 but the shipping is almost $200 so either way they get you..

Ya the passenger one is a bit cocked. I need to tighten it but being it was like 20 degrees out when I did it I got lazy. I do need a new bumper cover but it was not in the budget at this time.

I'll trade you my red 90-91 bumper for the 88, I hate the inlets.
